Fernley backs di Resta after criticism

Sahara Force India deputy team principal Bob Fernley insists that the team can forgive Paul di Resta for his latest outburst during the Montreal weekend, with the anger displayed by the Briton nothing more than a case of him wearing his heart on his sleeve.Di Resta failed to make it out of Q1 for the second successive race after an issue with his gearbox prevented him from being on track at the key moment during a session hit by changeable weather conditions.Following the session, di Resta was again critical of the team over the issue but Fernley said his comments were understandable."What he said probably came across worse than it actually was,” he told the Press Association....
