Keep the faith, urges Whitmarsh

McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh is imploring his team to stay positive following a troubled performance in the Canadian Grand Prix. The Woking-based outfit headed into Montreal with a record of 64 consecutive points scoring finishes, but that came to an end as both Jenson Button and Sergio Perez failed to place in the top ten. The outlook at McLaren and amongst its fans is getting increasingly negative, but Whitmarsh is not yet ready to give up on the 2013 season.
