Infinity Racing spoke with three other F1 teams
Infinity Racing, the investment group who brought a 35% stake in the Lotus F1 Team, has revealed that they have been looking at entering the world of Formula One for two years and that they talked with three other teams before buying into the Enstone based squad.
The consortium group announced the news on Tuesday and is composed of private investors, including an American hedge fund manager, an Abu Dhabi-based multinational business group and royal family interests of a major oil-producing nation which is thought to be Brunei.
Chairman of Infinity Racing, Mansoor Ijaz, talked to Sports Pro Media and revealed that Formula One had been the plan for some time:
