Matt Morris to join McLaren from Sauber

McLaren has announced that Matt Morris, former Chief Designer at Sauber, is to join the team as its new Engineering Director. He will leave his post with the Hinwil-based outfit on Monday July 1, directly after this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Morris, whose replacement has been named Sauber's Head of Concept Design, Eric Gandelin, will work under Technical Director Tim Goss at McLaren, although it is yet to be confirmed whether or not he will be given an early release from his contract. "Matt Morris will join McLaren Racing as Engineering Director once his current contractual situation with Sauber is resolved," explained a McLaren spokesperson on Friday....
