McLaren confirm Magnussen for 2014
Kevin Magnussen will make his F1 debut with McLaren next year Associated Press Enlarge McLaren has finally confirmed Kevin Magnussen as Sergio Perez's replacement for 2014, giving the 21-year-old Formula Renault 3.5 champion his Formula One debut next year. After over a month of speculation, Perez confirmed he had been booted out of McLaren on Wednesday night as he pre-empted McLaren's announcement on Thursday. Magnussen is a member of the young driver programme at McLaren and has spent time in its simulator this year as well as taking part in young driver tests. But is still set for a big step up as he makes his debut with one of the biggest teams in the sport alongside 2009 world...
