Vettel sets successive wins record with Austin victory

Sebastian Vettel won the United States Grand Prix from pole position on Sunday to set a new record for the most successive victories in a single season. The Red Bull driver has now won eight straight races, beating Michael Schumacher’s record of 2004, and 12 in all this season. Lotus’ Romain Grosjean finished second fending off the challenge from Mark Webber late in the race. Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton was fourth ahead of the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso, who managed to keep the charging Sauber of Nico Hulkenberg behind him. Sergio Perez managed to secure six points in seventh place ahead of Williams’ Valtteri Bottas, who managed to score his first points in Formula 1....
