Webber completes first laps with Porsche LMP1

– Mark Webber got the chance to sample the Porsche LMP1 car he will campaign in the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship this week. Webber, who took part in his final F1 race last month in Brazil, is still contracted to Red Bull Racing - his former team, but the Milton Keynes-based outfit gave him special permission to run at the Algarve International Circuit near Portimao. “My first day in this fascinating project was an intense experience for me,” said the Aussie, who officially becomes a Porsche factory driver on January 1 2014, linking up with Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani. “I would like to thank Red Bull Racing for giving me the chance to join the project so...
