McLaren sidelined by electrical issues

– McLaren has revealed that a sequence of electrical issues kept it out of action at Jerez on Tuesday. While the other eight teams present were able to at least complete installation laps with their new challengers, the Woking-based outfit struggled with the preparation of the MP4-29 chassis and failed to leave the pit lane. "Today was a challenging start to the MP4-29's test and development programme," read a statement issued by the team.
