Hamilton tops final day of testing for Mercedes, on a day dominated by red flags
Mercedes left few people in doubt of their position as favourites heading into the 2014 season, as Lewis Hamilton topped the final day of pre-season testing in Bahrain. Despite completing just five laps in the morning session, as a result of a gearbox issue, Hamilton stormed to the top of the timesheets with a lap of 1:33.278 late in the day, to seize the top spot from long time leader Valtteri Bottas.
