Alonso thankful to Ferrari mechanics

Scuderia Ferrari Fernando Alonso praised his Ferrari mechanics for repairing his car during qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix. Alonso made contact with Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat during Q2, with the impact damaging the Spaniard's F14T. Alonso was able to return to the track and eventually qualified in fourth place. "I am really pleased with this fourth place, because to get into Q3 with the problem I had with the steering is really a good result," he said. "In a season when it takes a lot of time to make any sort of change to the cars, the guys managed to change the suspension in just a few minutes, which is a real record.
