Rosberg under investigation for qualifying error

Nico Rosberg's pole position could be under threat after the race stewards confirmed they would investigate an incident which occured in the closing minutes of Q3. The German started his final flying lap, but as he entered turn five (Mirabeau) he ran off circuit and stopped on the escape road, causing yellow flags. That meant team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who had been behind at the time and on a quick lap, was forced to back off, ending the pole position battle early. Hamilton was clearly angered by the incident and refused to talk about it after.
