Ferrari completes fourth pole-bereft season in six years
Ferrari's poor run continues to run strong. Already facing its first winless season since 1993, Ferrari completed its fourth campaign from the last six championships without registering a single pole position throughout the year. The last time a Ferrari driver started a race from the top spot was at the German Grand Prix in 2012 with Fernando Alonso. The team also went without poles in the 2009 and 2011 seasons. At the Abu Dhabi GP on Saturday, Alonso qualfied tenth while teammate Kimi Raikkonen was ninth, 1.7 seconds slower than the benchmark time set by Mercedes' Nico Rosberg.
