Qatar 'close to agreement' for F1

– Qatar is closer than ever to securing a place on the Formula 1 calendar, according to the head of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF).Plans for a race in the Gulf nation, which has hosted premier motorcycle championship MotoGP at the Losail Circuit since 2004, were made public earlier this year.QMMF President Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Attiyah says only "a little more time" is required to reach an agreement with Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone."Recently, we were very close to signing an agreement to host an F1 race," Al-Attiyah told Doha Stadium Plus."The entire project is ready.
