Wolff denies Mercedes pushed tyre limits

– Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has strenuously denied that his team intentionally ran its tyres below the minimum pressures set out by supplier Pirelli at the Italian Grand Prix.Shortly before the race, Lewis Hamilton's left rear tyre was found to be 0.3 psi under the 19.5 psi limit, while team-mate Nico Rosberg's was 1.1 psi below the minimum.The FIA investigated the matter, but Mercedes was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing, after proving that the tyres were over the limit when they were fitted to the cars.Lewis Hamilton thus kept his victory, which put him 53 points ahead of Rosberg in the championship standings, after the German retired from third late on after an engine...
