Rosberg defeats Hamilton to win Brazilian GP

Nico Rosberg comfortably beat Mercedes Formula 1 team-mate Lewis Hamilton to win the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos. Rosberg cruised to a lights-to-flag win, soaking up early pressure from the newly confirmed champion, before pulling clear of his rival in the final stint. The German’s win, his second on the bounce in Brazil, and his fifth of the campaign, is enough to secure him second in the drivers’ standings with a round to spare. Hamilton was a beaten second, with Sebastian Vettel rounding out the podium in third for Ferrari. Polesitter Rosberg made a clean-getaway to fend off a feisty attack from Hamilton, who unsuccessfully attempted to round his team-mate around the outside...
