Max Chilton lands full time ride in IndyCar

Former Formula 1 driver Max Chilton will drive for Chip Ganassi's eponymous team in 2016. The English driver, who raced with Marussia in 2013 & 2014, was unable to secure a seat for 2015 after the apparent demise of the team. While Marussia were reborn under the Manor moniker after a late financial deal saved the team, Chilton had already looked elsewhere and contested several rounds in the 2015 Indy Lights series with Carlin Motorsport. He has now landed a full time gig in the main IndyCar Series, and will drive the No.8 Chevrolet run by Chip Ganassi Racing Teams.
