Gary Paffett joins Williams for simulator role

Gary Paffett has been announced as simulator driver for Williams Martini Racing for the 2016 Formula 1 season. Paffett will assist the vehicle science department in developing the Williams Mercedes FW38, working closely with the team throughout the year to provide feedback to help the continued development of their 2016 car. In 1999, Paffett won the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year award with part of his prize being a F1 seat for McLaren, he clearly impressed the team as he continued to test for McLaren until the end of 2014 when the team switched to Honda engines.
