Manor extends deadline for Haryanto

Rio Haryanto believes he is still in pole position to take Manor's second seat despite missing the deadline for the down payment. Haryanto needs to come up with 15 million Euros in sponsorship to secure a seat alongside the newly signed Pascal Wehrlein. The 23-year-old has raised a large portion of the money for the drive through state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina as well as the Indonesian government. However according to the Jakarta Post, the 'disbursement of the funds has been hampered by bureaucratic delays.' Despite this Haryanto is adamant that Manor are still keen on signing him.
