Alonso return would be great but only if he had a competitive car

Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso are at opposite ends of their motorsport careers but the prior would welcome a return to F1 for the Spaniard but only if he returns in a competitive car. Alonso left the pinnacle of motorsport in 2018, leaving McLaren's F1 team to pursue the final piece of the Triple Crown, the Indy 500. Alonso already has already won the Le Mans 24 hour and Monaco Grand Prix. Alonso has been constantly linked with a return to F1 and he is still working at McLaren in an ambassadorial role.
