Monaco circuit build work set to begin on Monday

Monaco’s government has given the green light for the Automobile Club de Monaco to begin construction work in the Principality in anticipation of this year’s trio of events. The Monaco Grand Prix, as well as the preceding Historic event, was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year’s Monaco Grand Prix is planned for May 23 and organisers moved last month to dispel speculation that the event was at risk once more due to the pandemic. Formula 1 has not competed at a temporary street-based facility since the pandemic.
