Masi returns to Formula 1 paddock in new role

Article To news overview © XPBimages Michael Masi has returned to the Formula 1 paddock in his new role as the Independent Chair of the Supercars Commission this weekend in Melbourne. Supercars will be one of the support races at Albert Park, with there being four races taking place across the Grand Prix weekend. Masi was appointed to his role in the championship following his departure from the FIA as F1 Race Director and Safety Delegate, in the aftermath of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 controversy. He was also one of the new appointments to the Karting Australia Board this year, which is the main administration tasked with managing CIK-FIA events in the country.
