F1: Former Sauber COO joins Williams

Williams has announced the appointment of Axel Kruse as its Chief Operations Director. Kruse brings almost two decades of leadership experience working in Formula 1, having spent the past 15 years as Chief Operating Officer at Sauber. Prior to that he was an engineer at BMW, where he worked closely with Williams as the team twice finished second in the Constructors' Championship with BMW power. The German will replace current Chief Operating Officer Fred Brousseau, who is returning to his native Canada later this year. Brousseau joined Williams in April 2023 following a 26-year career with aerospace giant Pratt & Whitney, and has been instrumental in transforming and modernising the team's...
