Steiner still doesn’t understand Gene Haas’ aims in F1

Guenther Steiner has questioned the very reason Gene Haas remains in Formula 1 given his team’s enduring stagnation, suggesting his former boss may have simply lost interest in trying to turn the American outfit into a genuine contender. Steiner, who became one of F1’s most recognisable figures during his colourful tenure as Haas team principal, departed the team at the start of 2024 after years of increasingly obvious friction over its direction.
