F1: Bahrain Grand Prix: Qualifying team notes - Racing Bulls
Mattia Spini - Head of Trackside Engineering: 'We were missing some pace in Qualifying today after a promising FP3. 'Given Arvid's Power Unit penalty, we opted for an unconventional run plan, with the objective to get him into Q2, where he could help Liam with a tow. Despite having to abort his lap in Q1, he was showing good pace, which was encouraging. 'Liam struggled slightly with overall grip and confidence, and unfortunately his fastest lap was not quite enough to reach Q3 today. We appeared to lose some competitiveness relative to FP3, which we now need to take a look at and understand. 'Liam will start tomorrow's race from P11, just outside the points.
