Alonso laments lack of competitiveness

Fernando Alonso says Ferrari will not throw in the towel despite a slugging start to the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. The Scuderia failed to shine at the Marina Bay circuit on Friday night, soundly beaten by the Red Bull and Mercedes drivers. While Championship leader Sebastian Vettel topped the timesheets with a 1:44.249, Alonso could only manage a best time of 1:45.691 on the supersoft tyres..
