Double points plan to go ahead in 2014

– Formula 1's controversial plan to award double points at the season finale from 2014 will go ahead, according to the BBC, after no attempts were made to reverse the move at a meeting of the sport's key figures. As outlined by GPUpdate.net last week, governing body the FIA called team bosses to a summit in Geneva on Wednesday to discuss the proposed budget cap and the general direction in which Formula 1 is heading.
