Forty years ago Peterson won the 1974 Monaco Grand Prix at the wheel of a Lotus 72E. He was a favourite of F1 fans for his laid back demeanour which defied his blistering pace on track. He wore a distinctive blue helmet with yellow trimming, with long time sponsors Vicks emblazoned on the visor area.
