Fernandes confirms Caterham will be in Austria
Tony Fernandes
Amid reports that Caterham were shutting down their Formula 1 operation and would not be on the grid for the forthcoming Austrian Grand Prix, the team's boss Tony Fernandes has confirmed that his team will be on the grid at Red Bull Ring next weekend.
Fernandes batted off speculation his green cars, driven by Marcuce Ericsson and Kamui Kobayashi, might be missing in when Formula 1 returns to Austria after an 11-year absence.
'Caterham F1 will be racing in Austria. There is no question,' the Malaysian entrepreneur wrote on Twitter.
No indication was given if the team, who have yet to score a point in Formula 1, would be present at races after Austria. (GP247-GMM)
