McLaren Honda McLaren driver Fernando Alonso is hopeful that the outfit can continue to make progress after acknowledging that competition in the midfield is "very tough." McLaren finished a lowly ninth in the 2015 standings but improvements across the winter have elevated the team back into a tightly-contested midfield. Alonso finished in 12th place at the Chinese Grand Prix but is optimistic that he can improve on that result at Sochi this weekend.
