Mercedes debuts double T-wing on second day of testing

Mercedes has debuted a double T-wing on its W08 during the second day of the first pre-season test in Barcelona on Tuesday morning. Lewis Hamilton exited the garage with the new device fitted, an evolution of the single T-wing the team – as well as many others – trialled on the opening day of the test. A change to the regulations has seen the return of shark fin engine covers and these bizarre T-wings, which help to condition airflow passing over the new, lower rear-wings. Ferrari, Williams and Haas have all tested the new wing, but Mercedes took it to another level on Tuesday with it now featuring two elements.
