An appeal to help fund the treatment of British Formula 4 racing driver Billy Monger has exceeded its target within 24 hours of launching. Seventeen-year-old Monger is in an induced coma at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham after being involved in an accident during a British Formula 4 race at Donington Park last Sunday. Monger has had both lower legs amputated and a statement on the official British F4 website said he was in a "critical, but stable condition".
