Brawn open to league table ranking F1 races

Ross Brawn is open to the idea of introducing a league table to Formula 1 to rank the quality of its grands prix, with a possible promotion and relegation system to bring new races onto the calendar. Since Liberty Media's takeover in January 2017, F1's bosses have been looking for ways to expand the calendar and add more "destination cities" to grow the sport in new markets, with street races in locations such as Miami, New York and Las Vegas being suggested. Liberty is thought to be looking at increasing the existing F1 calendar from 21 races to as many as 25, and sporting chief Brawn feels a league table would help to not only attract interest from even more locations, but...
