Hamilton defends Vettel after French GP crash

Lewis Hamilton has come to the defense of Sebastian Vettel after the German hit his Mercedes teammate, Valtteri Bottas, at turn one of the French Grand Prix. The contact left both Vettel and Bottas at the back of the pack and the Finn with damage. After initially saying that Vettel had gotten off lightly for the contact at turn one, the new championship leader admitted afterward that it was an error of judgement and nothing more. "It is really a racing incident in Turn 1 and those things can happen. We're all going into that first corner at great speeds. "I don't feel that he's particularly making more mistakes.
