2021 rule change still aimed at attracting new teams into F1 - Carey

Formula One CEO Chase Carey insists that the 2021 rule change can still attract new manufacturers to the F1 fold. Despite big names such as Porsche and Lamborghini ruling out an entry to the sport for that year, Carey says that the rules still must be aimed at helping new teams join the sport. Despite claims that the new ruleset would close the gap between the top and bottom teams as well as making the idea of joining F1 as a new team an inviting prospect, there will be no new teams on the grid in 2021 as things stand.
