Miami GP vote set to take place next week

The future of the proposed Miami Grand Prix could finally be set next week. A Miami City Commission vote could set or sink the project, one which Liberty Media is keen to get off the ground. Having previously set a 2019 date for the race to take place, the event was postponed after a vote last September, barring the holding of the event due to land ownership issues with Bayfront Park Management Trust. A statement by the Miami City Commission on the subject of the hosting of the event lists the dates in which Miami would host a Formula 1 race, with the first year on the calendar likely to be 2020 if an agreement is reached.
