Qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix descended into farce at the end of Q3 as most of the remaining field failed to reach the chequered flag in time to start a timed lap. Charles Leclerc ended up taking pole in bizarre circumstances and had to fight off accusatory glances from both Lewis Hamilton and his team-mate Sebastian Vettel afterwards.
