Raikkonen frustrated with qualifying but hopeful for the race

Kimi Raikkonen has revealed his frustration with his qualifying session at the Mexican Grand Prix, as he was knocked out in Q2 and will start the race down in P14. Raikkonen has not been in the best form in recent races, failing to score points since a seventh placed finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix, before the summer break. Raikkonen's Alfa Romeo has not been as competitive in recent races as before the summer break, but the 2007 world champion has been outperformed by inexperienced teammate Antonio Giovinazzi in the last few events.
