Legendary IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan announces retirement plans

Legendary IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan announced that he will retire after the 2020 Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday. The TK Farewell Tour will consist of five oval races this season for AJ Foyt Racing and will culminate at the Indy 500 in May. The Brazilian has competed in the famous race on 19 occasions, winning in 2013 after a series of near misses. During his career in IndyCar, Kanaan won 16 races and secured 70 podiums, starting a total of 368 races.
