Carlos Sainz says the new McLaren MCL35 feels like a 'good step forward from last year' after the first day of Formula 1 pre-season testing in Barcelona. The 25-year-old completed 161 laps on Wednesday and finished sixth fastest overall, with six-time world champion Lewis Hamilton quickest. McLaren were last season's surprise package, with the team recovering from a poor 2018 to finish fourth in the constructors championship.
