Drivers raise $71k for WHO fund as Leclerc triumphs

A fundraising effort launched by a group of Formula 1 drivers has reached $71,000 after the conclusion of the final Race For The World event on Sunday. On-track action has yet to begin in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and several drivers have taken to online gaming, streaming their efforts on Twitch. A group of six Formula 1 drivers – Charles Leclerc, Alexander Albon, Lando Norris, Antonio Giovinazzi, George Russell and Nicholas Latifi – organised a series that took place over three days.
