F1 sends letter to teams; budget cap within three years to $130 million

The bosses of Formula 1 have made a final offer to the teams this week to further lower the budget ceiling. As we now know, a maximum amount of $145 million per season will start in 2021, but it is planned to reduce that amount even further in the years to come. The generally very well imported BBC says it has a letter from Ross Brawn stating that a reduction from $145 million to $130 million should be achieved in the next three years. According to Formula 1, these measures are necessary not only to reduce the difference between the top teams and smaller teams, but also to ensure a good financial management of the participating race stables.
