Renault to have three stages of upgrades in Austria

Renault will be running a car that has still gone through three sets of upgrades despite the lack of racing so far this year, according to managing director Cyril Abiteboul. Formula 1’s 2020 season opener in Australia was called off before a car had taken to the track for Friday practice and the COVID-19 pandemic has since led to multiple races being postponed or cancelled. Racing will finally get underway in Austria in a week’s time, and Abiteboul says the team has pushed ahead with its upgrade plans to have a heavily updated car at the Red Bull Ring. “We’ve made some tough decisions during the break to allow us to secure the plan and we will execute that plan,” Abiteboul said....
