Mercedes supports Red Bull's plan: 'I have no problem with that at all'

Red Bull Racing still hasn't announced anything about the new engine for 2022 and a lot depends on the regulations. Red Bull wants to freeze the development of the engines and gets the help of Mercedes to do so. From 2023, the development of current engines would be stopped and new engines would be introduced in 2026. Those engines would then have to be cheaper to produce and, in addition, ensure that the technology remains innovative enough to retain manufacturers. Red Bull wants to bring all this forward by one year in order to take over Honda's engines.
