Alpine renews Mecachrome F1 partnership
Alpine has extended its partnership of over two decades with component manufacturer Mecachrome with the signing of a new four-year contract. In its former guise as Renault, the team and Mecachrome enjoyed a long-standing engine relationship, with the latter providing the "assembly service" for the French manufacturer's power units. Article continues under video The association between the two parties was in place during the period when Fernando Alonso won his two world titles in 2005 and '06, and continued in the absence of a Renault factory team to aid Sebastian Vettel to his four titles between 2010-'13 with Red Bull.
