Leclerc crash was indeed the cause of problems: 'Ferrari wanted to deny it'

According to former Formula 1 driver Timo Glock, Charles Leclerc' s retirement before the race may have been a result of his crash during qualifying. Ferrari discovered a problem with the car just before the race and decided not to start Leclerc's car. In his column for Sky Sports Germany, Glock wrote the following: "It was very extreme and intense when Leclerc reported a problem with his car on the way to the starting grid. Ferrari even went so far as to say it had nothing to do with the accident in qualifying. I can well imagine that the impact on the wall with the right side of the car continued to the left side of the car, damaging the driveshaft." Read more Former F1 World...
