This is the 'GPblog Driver of the Day' from the Russian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Valtteri Bottas started at the back during the Russian Grand Prix. It made for a lot of spectacle in the race. The Dutchman eventually finished in second place, earning him the title of 'GPblog Driver of the Day'. Lewis Hamilton, who started from fourth on the grid, looked set to close the gap on Verstappen in Russia, but that proved less easy than expected. Although the Briton did everything in his power to close the gap on his world championship rival, he only managed a two-point lead.
