Bottas sees off Verstappen charge to claim pole at Sao Paulo Sprint

Sao Paulo Grand Prix – Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas has claimed pole position after finishing in first place at the Sprint qualifying for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Bottas jumped into first place, powering past the Red Bull of Max Verstappen who started first on the grid. After a charge from the Red Bull, the Finn was able to see off Verstappen to claim pole position. A storming charge from Lewis Hamilton (who was relegated to the back of the grid) saw the Mercedes driver climb up from the back of the grid into fifth.
