TotalF1 SamB 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2001 The new Jordan is always a favourite, and I'll be waiting for the Minardi and Prost cars to be rolled out...
TotalF1 Jens 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2001 Well Renault will be interesting, I cant wait for them. Mclaren will be interesting too, as rumor has it that while the colors are to stay the same, design will differ noticably.

Reverend Lastlap 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2001 What is most exiting about this time of waiting for the new launchings for me, is that occasionally some designer or other (who will have been beavering away for the best part of a year now) will launch a (beautiful!!!) new car. One wonders this time who will launch a car with mid wings again or other blight on the true beauty of the F1 racing car. In 1991 Jordan designer Gary Anderson was responsible for a car of amazing beauty this was only brought home to me at the Autosport International show two years ago where they had a display of all the Jordan cars since inception. It is not easy when looking at the latest car to see what changes have been made since the last car for instance however it seems that with three or four cars to look at changes become more apparent. The spending of millions of francs, lira, marks and pounds etc to make way for an extra groove in a tyre for instance, may be of vital importance but will only show in a distinct lack of rubber. This has been the case for the last few years and I for one cant wait to see if Anderson, Newey and Gascoigne et al cant set the world on fire with some master stroke of the pen
TotalF1 SamB 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2001 The '91 Jordan was indeed a beautiful car...but alas, designers have no room to manoeuvre when they're cooped up inside designing their cars. A little nip and tuck is all one can hope to get excited about these days - not like turning up to a launch and finding 6 wheels under the tarpaulin! - and Prost will be the only team with a budget of millions of lira! TotalF1 SamB 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2002 The cars have all been pretty boring so far - too much evolution, not enough revolution - hopefully Ferrari are going to come up with the magic that's being promised in the specialist press...
