Renault To Launch In Monaco

Renault will buck the recent trend for teams to unveil their new cars at a circuit where they're testing and will instead hold their launch in Monaco.

"The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team is pleased to announce that its 2005 challenger, the Renault F1 R25, will be presented on Tuesday, 1 February 2005 in Monaco," the team said in a brief statement.

Both Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella will be present in the Principality, as will Renault's team boss Flavio Briatore.

Renault is the sixth team to announce its 2005 launch date, however, it's only the second to choose a non-testing venue. Sauber is the other team, having decided on Kuala Lumpur as the venue for their unveiling.
