Williams Confirms Bmw/sauber Deal

Sir Frank Williams has revealed that BMW has decided to supply the Sauber Formula One team with customer engines in 2006, the Swiss based squad making the switch from Ferrari power plants when their long term agreement comes to an end at the close of the 2005 championship season.

Up until now BMW has worked exclusively with the WilliamsF1 team, and the new deal with Sauber is not expected to hinder that situation in any way with Frank Williams confirming that they will remain the works team. In fact, the new deal will only make the engine manufacturer stronger as Peter Sauber
